EuroAlum Aluminum Roof Paint

Description

Euroalum is an Aluminum Roof Coating. More specific is a Solar Reflective Paint Containing Aluminum Flakes in a Copolymer Emulsion.

Properties:

Euroalum Aluminum Roof Coating is formulated for the protection of roofs and bituminous membranes from solar damage. Careful application of Euroalum can add years to the effective life of the waterproofing system. Application of Euroalum reduces cooling costs for the building by reducing the inside temperature up to 10 ºC. The set film produced from Euroalum is stable at a high range of temperatures. It has very good reflective characteristics and it is resistant to water and salts, however it is not tolerant of acids, alkaline solutions, oils, solvents and fuel

Application:

Minor setting of the material is expected with storage, therefore, prior to application Euroalum should be subjected to simple stirring. All surfaces should be clean of dirt and dust and application should not take place when temperatures are below 10 ºC, or there is a chance of rain for the next 24 h. Euroalum can be applied with a brush, a broom, a roller or even a spray gun. A typical application rate is 0.2 L/m2. Overbrushing is to be avoided as it intereferes with the properties of the Aluminum flakes. Drying time is typically 4 h depending on wind and humidity.
