FIBROUS BITUMINOUS WATERPROOFING

Description

FIBROBIT is a solvent based bituminous coating, formulated from selected bitumen grades and a petroleum solvent which are compounded with cellulose fibers, gelling/wetting agents, stabilizers and special additives. The fibers and the mineral stabilizers strengthen the liquid bitumen to form a tough and elastic surface. When FIBROBIT cures, will not crack when subjected to the extremes of summer and winter conditions. FIBROBIT'S special formulation ensures perfect bonding with the substrate and excellent workability. FIBROBIT is capable of withstanding the normal stresses associated with the expansion and the contraction of all roofing systems.

Properties:

FIBROBIT has been specially formulated for use as a waterproofing and protective coating with wide application in the construction industry. It can be used effectivelly for the waterproofing of retaining walls, concrete flower pots, flat roofs, and also for the maintenance of old bituminous roofs. It is resistant to rainfall immediatelly after application, and is suitable for use in conjuction with reinforcing membranes such as EUROGUM Sp4mm

Application:

The surface to be treated must free from dust, dirt, oil, grease and loose material. If the surface is ferrous metal, asbestos cement, or concrete surface , prime with EUROFONDO Super Penetration Primer and allow to dry before overcoating. Stir FIBROBIT well before use and apply FIBROBIT using a roofing brush or squeegee. Allow 24 hours between coats and apply each coat at right angles to the previus coat
